Patients admitted to the Orthopaedic Unit can look forward to a comprehensive service offered by a dedicated team consisting of Physio- and Occupational Therapists. The scope of conditions treated include: multiple fractures, joint replacements, burns, musculo-skeletal conditions, soft tissue deformities and individuals who lost a limb/limbs.

 The holistic approach to treating our patients is reflected in the additional services available in our department: an in- house Orthotist/Prosthetist for fitting of artificial limbs, splints and other relevant devices, group classes which enhance the “togetherness” of the patients, home- and work visits as and when applicable, community outings to assist with the re- integration into society, and hydrotherapy.

A complete selection of walking aids and assistive devices is for sale in our office. Pressure garments are tailor made to suit the needs of our patients. Should the need arise, patients may continue with rehabilitation on an out patient basis.
